for ole Bulldogmikey in the morning and got to thinking of all the times I've called upon him. Mike's always been a very special person to me. Never once have I heard him say a negative thing about his condition. Never once questioned why him... never once complained. He's just kept on keeping...
I remember leaving the doctors office about two years ago and the doctors had said my wife had a brain tumor. Only reason behind her fainting. Needless to say I was a mess. I was in terrible shape. That split second, my world stopped. I realized something was wrong with my wife. I could have called anyone, but I dialed Mike. He answered and knew something was wrong right away. I called him and was unloading. I remember all his positive words and how he told me to keep my head up high. Said he'd pray for my wife and that hopefully this doctor would be wrong. I believe Mike's prayers were answered and we went from brain tumor to a balance issue. I'm not sure why Mike deserved me to unload all my troubles for... but he was the support I needed at that time.
Fast forward about a year and here came my sons issues. I was messed up seeing my kid not able to walk. Completely unreal... I called Mike (in a mess again) and said I didn't know what I'd do if something happened to my lil boy. Mike listened and offered nothing but positive sayings. Mike's prayers were answered again! My son was diagnosed with an electrolyte imbalance and all is well with him.
Mike's had to deal with so much adversity these last few years, I'm not sure how a person could stay so positive.
I'm hoping the Good Lord will look down and continue to give him the strength and make sure he comes out of this. I know I sure miss talking to Mike and miss seeing him online. It bothers me that I hadn't called him more often lately. Mike I know that Bulldog inside of you is tough and keep on fighting my friend! I know I'm not the only persons life you have ever changed! I hope you have many more left too!!!

I dont know him other than reading his posts (which i have enjoyed reading his devtionaals and scripture recitals and overall positive outlook), and i believe you guys about his positive character, maybe when he is back some of that will rub off on me... the world needs more of people like that.... so heres pprayin for your speedy recovery *prayer*

Same here, don't know Mike personally, but sure have a tremendous amount of respect for him and what he gives to this site.

Many have been instrumental to me on this forum and I call several of you friends. Bulldog among them. I'm not one to pic up a phone too often, never have been. I've always enjoyed Mike emails and have spoken with him several times on the phone. He asked me to come have a cup of coffee with him, he only lives about an hour away. I really hope to get to sit down with him and have that cup a joe. But I know that if I don't get to meet him personally in this life. We'll share a tree in heaven one early morning and listen to God's greatest invention as he greets the morning son!

Bulldog was super with me on the phone during conversations regarding the Steve Mann auction. We talked a few times at length and he was so excited to talk about box calls and my work, Steve, the Roost and all things turkey--he really put my mind at ease about my call and gave me a lot of confidence.
My prayers will of course continue on *prayer*
