I'm getting my own shop up and running now. I've got a mountain of saw dust and chips from cutting up stock and was wondering if this stuff is any good for the garden? NO I'm not growing any turkey call tomato's or Caller Greens so save the jokes ;D. I don't have a wood stove and I know I could just throw it away but would like to find another use for it. I don't see what it would hurt unless there's a curtain kind of wood that's bad new for my garden. Any thoughts on this one would be great.
Thanks, Brent

I don't know if I would. You might compost it first.

You could always use it for smooching. I know you would have to be careful on what woods you used.

*lol* Smooching and wood should not be used in the same sentence. *lol*

I use mine in areas of my yard that won't grow grass, and it works good. Some seed , and cover it with dust , and grass seems to grow good under it !!!! Garden......I wouldn't

If you do compost first...but if it has any exotics I wouldn't!

I need to quit typing on my PHONE!!!! Ok no smooching wood and don't smoke exotic wood...

Don't use any exotics they all have too many toxins. Also don't use walnut or sassafras for similar reasons. Also, don't use oak as it will turn your soil too acidic and most garden vegess don't like that--in conclusion don't even bother with composting the exotics, stick with domestics cherry maple, poplar, etc., but eliminate walnut and sassafras even from composting.
