Title: Mo. Bird for a Special Friend
Post by: Jake St. John on April 20, 2011, 08:47:32 PM
Here is a picture that I received this evening from a special friend from Jackson, Ms.  He killed this bird and I believe two last year with one of my boxes.  What is special about this is that his Grandfather taught me to turkey hunt in the mid 1970's.  He also let me use his orginal Tom Turpin box call to kill a lot of turkey's.  Mr. Jack as I called him always wanted his grandson to have the Turpin.  When I found out what it was worth, I gave Mark his grandfathers call.   At that point I gave him one of the best Stribling reproductions that I could make.  It is satisfying to hear he is killing turkeys with my box.  I hope he kills a ton of them.  That is the least I could do to repay an old favor.
