Title: Youth Turkey Contest Thread

The Youth Contest will be for kids 14 years of age and under.  The rules are as follows....

1. Post a pic of you with your bird.
2. Write a short story of the hunt.  If the kids are under 8 the parent/mentor can help them write it.  Please keep the story at around 300 words or so.

The winner will be a combination of the best pics and story.  NOT THE BIGGEST BIRD!


Here's the call that the winner will receive.  It is from my collection and is made by Jon "Petie" Ross.  The pot is Spalted Maple and the surface is slate/slate.

Due to the complete lack of interest in this contest it is closed.  Nor will I offer it again in the future.

Lou,

That was a deal for some youth. Thanks for your more than generous offer. Just a little time and effort for a free call. I agree with you, there did not seem to be much interest in either contest. Heck, only a few teams posted their pics and scores. It was really hard to tell exactly what some teams scored.

 Well Lou,....I'm sorry I missed this post.  It was a very kind offer.....I'm sure my son would have taken a shot at it.... :)

Same here. We just couldn't get one going. Thanks for the oportunity
