   ... always wanted to plant some - talked 'bout it, but never got 'round to it ... :-\

   ... so after dealin' with the Deer Tine in the front tire episode  ROTFLMBO , ol' SBO & I got hard at it ...

   ... these are 6 of the 14 spots that we planted all throughout the place, over the past 2 days ...

   ... planted 'bout 20% of the established grain & clover fields with the Chufas for the turkee birds ... :)

They don't spray power line right of ways down there? They kill my berry patches every three or four years up here. You have a beautiful place Jim.

Beautiful area and the weather looks fantastic! I hope the food plot turns out great for you. Chufa is illegal to plant in MI..

Looks like you and Jory got your exercise for the weekend. That ought to work and hold those birds on your place.

Greatblooking plot there Jim!!!!   Never seen chufa in the wild...  Just not something that gets posted around here!

Yelp, chufa is about as attractive as corn.....If I had a place that I hunted by myself, are with folks I trusted I would plant some also.  I've seen several plots of chufa over the years on WMA's, and its amazing how it will pull birds and cost them there lives.   I've also seen several chufa plots used in hunting video's, one was a NWTF video..... ::)

Man Jim,

Ya got a killer spot, the lease I hunt in SC has a lot of Chufa and the Turks tear that stuff up! You should see some good results... :)
