Title: Call for D.U. Banquet
Post by: jmbartz71 on March 27, 2011, 10:28:19 PM
Here is a cherry and wormy butternut call I made to donate to a Ducks Unlimited banquet this past Saturday that a brother-in-law volunteers at.  Like most things I do, I finished it up at the last minute, 3:00 AM on Friday.  This is the fourth or fifth year I have sent a call to this banquet, and it is fun to come up with ways to add some waterfowl to the artwork.

Jeff,
I have to thank you for supplying the model and idea for the side with the wood ducks flying behind the roosted gobbler.  Your photo of your long-spurred mount was the reference material for the turkey, and seeing it sitting as if it were up in a tree gave me the idea for having a pair of wood ducks flying through the tree tops behind it.  Thanks again.
