The pots are Aluminum over slate with some fiberglass strikers. The wetter it is the better these strikers run. The water will help keep the tips from filling up and slicking over. One on the left is Camphor Burl and the right one is a RoseWood.

Last spring we had the worst rain here that I have ever seen. I hunted all day and used a fiberglass and aluminum call and called in a bird with about a 6 inch beard but could see some long beards in the feild but couldn't do anything with them. That's the end Nashville flooded and I was using one of these strikers. I won't sell them around here *lol*

Very good idea.. I use an aluminum arrow shaft tipped striker for wet weather but I don't really care for it much but it works.

Nice looking calls.

They are bad to the bone. No BS the rain or water will make them run better. Now there is nothing I can do about the wood pot. I don't leave without one. It's going to rain here this weekend and if I want to run a pot call it will be Aluminum with one of these strikers.
Sorry guys but I just sold both of these calls this afternoon. I only have 1 Aluminum call left made besides my hunting call and you ain't getting that one. I may have 1 aluminum blank left I'll have to look. That is if someone else wants one.
Thanks for all of the kind words about the calls but these are going to a hunter who will hopefully kill many birds with them.

Here is a rose wood call with the Black fiberglass shafts

Richard I'll have to get with you soon... I was able to play with this striker and aluminum at Nashville. We wet down that aluminum and it never missed a beat.
Very interesting to say the least! I'm from the Shower-Me state, so I had to have Richard prove it would work... that took a lot of courage since he's a monster compared to me *lol*
