46-460 VS with Reverse. I have the same Lathe, and Love it. 8)

Everything I have has a clockwise thread so it tightens while spinning. I'd hate to see a Baracuda go flying off or even fall off onto my toes. Am I missing the point of it?

I have barracuda's, and Nova Chucks.

Never had a problem with them coming off.

Both of my chuck set up's, will lock down with a set Screw as well.

Sanding is the basic use of the reverse, Mostly, Bowl Turners. I never use it for Trumpets and such, but handy on bowls.
