Bingo Bulldog.  Thought I'd get a few bites. But you hit the nail on the head right off. I went to cut some China berry today. There are about 40 of em around an old home place. Well there was this ole dead log lying there and after I cut a nice china berry. I decided to cut into it and see what it was. Surprise, surprise the yellar chips started flying. I been looking for a mulberry to cut and here was one right under my nose!!!! I was ecstatic, my son Chase wasn't to impressed he thought it was Osage! I thought it was a great find.

Charlie, feels to lite to be Osage. Splits like a charm and the chain saw cut it with ease. Closest osage I know of is 10 miles away in any direction. After looking I found what I think is another mulberry (live) about 30 feet from the log! I may be wrong, but I have hunted this property for 14 years now and haven't seen any osage on it. Mulberry is pretty common by I just can't find any big enough to cut!
