Title: a cool shadow box design

Here is a present from my parents---they had a friend of mine make it to hold my calls in from the Nationals.
The ole boy dreamed this up on his own---he got a box call from my wife and made a shadow box to represent my shape. He has the base mortised,the side are angled and it even has the lid on it. Looks like a end view of a box call---really neat Idea. He used Walnut for the lid and base, and tiger maple for the body of the call---it even has the inlays representated on it !!!!
Now I gotta gety my calls in it and the bling and get it hung somewhere.
Thought it was a neat idea he had and wanted to share it with you guys !!!

Son...that is sweet, spectacular curly maple for sure and of course who among us could argue with the design concept *up*
