I remember bidding on that one several years ago.  I was told ol' boy who bought it thought he was getting an actual turkey call and not a door knocker.  I could only imagine his face upon opening the delivery box.

 I'm thinking of taking the peg that's in the handle end out and making a lid for it, out of Black and White ebony...might even take it hunting.... *wha* *wha* *peep* *peep*

I do not know why it would'nt.  It would be a matter of matching it to the box.  I have never done a hen box, only the non-handled Turpins.
