I'm thinking the Mississippi boys need to get a side bet going. I know Ryan is a Ms. hunter. Do we have anyone else hunting Ms. ??? A little extra fun.

I'm hunting strickly Ms. Was going to say each put up a prize and winner takes all if we get enough interest.

Well Jake, I've never bet on turkey hunt'n. Just don't think its a heads up game. There are two many variables for one thing. I'm guessing you have some pretty darn good places to hunt from what I've read. The only place in Ms, I have to hunt is public land. With that said, if you would like to invite me up for a couiple of days to hunt with you, on your places, then I would love to make a bet with you...... ;D I bet ole Ryan would love some of that too... ;D Are we could meet up down here in southwest Ms, for a few hunts in the hills of Franklin Co, on public land... ;D

Franklin Co. is an option, I have hunted Homochito and taken several nice birds there. I also have some private land there that I hunt the first part of the season. I will PM you and try to get together for a hunt or two. Thanks for the reply!

Ive always thought that when it comes to those 4 & 5 year old stompers, that a lot of experience would always trump youth and inexperience anytime. You got to know when to hold um and know when to fold um. ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO

Great *cool*, I'll put up an East of the Slash Cuttin call since you have a Gator, You can put up your best Morgan hen box (I've been wanting one of those), and KP will have to send us pictures of what he is putting up.

Ryan, hate to bust your bubble, but if the contest ended today, and the season did end on the first of May this one would end in a draw between the 3 of us. I sent a PM to Jeff (KP calls) to see if he killed & posted any Ms. Birds. I have not heard back from him. Contests have rules & if you killed a bird, it has not been posted according to the rules of the contest (according to the judges). I could post pictures and story of the bird I shot last (11 inch. beard and 1 1/2 inch spurs), and it would score better than the one you posted under "turkey witch doctor".
Just to let you know, I have you a call working now. I give calls to young bachelors that are getting ready to get married. I feel sorry for them, since their hunting time will be cut shorter in the years ahead. I have been doing this for years. These are some of my finest calls. I usually take a little extra time since we usually give a wedding gift to the couple also, and I want the call to at least match that gift. I do wish you and Miss Golden all the happiness associated with marriage. Good luck. *cheers*
The call will be the East of the Slash cutting call since I believe the other call of mine that you have is a Gator Gobbling Stribling. I definately want you to have two of the best types, so that you can develope into a complete turkey hunter. PM me if that is not correct, just look on the letter that I sent with the first call. Congratulation on your call. ;) You can poke your chest out now, but just remember --- Pride goeth before the fall!!! I learned that this year when I entered this contest, and my favorite grounds to kill old stompers was flooded completely this year.
