Title: Sweet photo session coming- Update- Picture Added
Post by: shad309 on February 16, 2011, 11:40:04 AM
I have been asked to take a historical photo for an older gentleman that is a trapper.  He wants a photo taken in front of his pelts hanging on the side of a barn. For this season he has 153 yotes and not finished!!! He also has numerous coons, mink, fox, etc....

The photo will be in Trapper and Predator Caller along with an article called The Perfect Coyote written by my good friend.

I think this will be one cool photo of a dying breed  RkLu

Well looks like this photo is going to take place at a time that I cannot make it  :-\  The article will still be in the magazine and will be a great article.

I've never trapped so I have no clue but to me 153 is a lot. What is normal?

Lets just say guys bust there rear ends to catch 20 a season. This was my first year and my goal was to catch 1....... that is all I caught. 153 is a lot especially if he works 40 hours a week.

Congrats to that guy. He knows his animals and what works. Probably put a lot of miles on his truck too!!!! I'd like to ride with him for a day or two!!!

That is absolutely Great!  They say they run the levees early in the morning in North Ms. and if they don't hear a group in an area when they howl, they move on in.  Need for him to thin some out up there.  I have been messed up I can't tell how many times by one moving in on a bird I had working.

That's a cool picture and most definitely knocking them out! The hardest I ever trapped coyotes was about 6 years ago for 3 months on some good ground and I only caught around 30. That guy is on top of his trapping game.  *up*
