Here's a pic I snapped in Maine during a bear hunt a couple years back . Those darn moose will just run out in front of you . They are bigger than a truck so if they hit you it's bad news !(http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz308/shadetreecallers/mainemoose2.jpg)

It's very cool to see them play. Standing still they look kind of ungainly, but on the run they are anything but.. What part of Maine Bob? I grew up there

We usually hunt the Moosehead Lake Region near Kokadjo . It's about 70 miles from the nearest outpost at Kokadjo , Me.  Beautiful country with lots of game .

My butcher always said  he'd throw out every piece of meat in his freezer just to make room for a moose steak ! It's one critter I haven't tried yet . Sounds great though ! Someday I'll draw one of those elusive tags !
