Here's a pic from last summer . These elk are part the restoration project in NC. These bulls came from New Mexico originally .Have you heard the term "cheek to cheek " ? LOL Unfortunately the big 6x7 was poached last winter . Terrible way to go . They shot two elk and left them to lay .(http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz308/shadetreecallers/ncelk.jpg)

Beautiful bulls!!  What a shame he met his end in that manner!!  >!!

those are caribou are just plain majestic, here in Ky we are finally getting some nice herds of elk...
