Title: Picante Grilled BackStrap Steaks
Post by: mikey715 on February 12, 2011, 03:22:23 PM
Get your favorite picante or salsa,I like Pace,if you want it warm thats good also, use a big jar of it,or two about 32 oz.. I like alot of garlic,so I put a couple of tablespoons chopped garlic, the kind you get in a jar. Chop up a medium onion. Cut you backstrap in 3/4 to 1 inch steaks,I like them thick.Put the steaks in a flat tupperware dish. Mix the salsa, garlic, onion and juice from 1/2 big Lime. Pour it on top of the steaks, cover and put in the fridge over nite. Get the grill nice and HOT. DO NOT OVER COOK!! about 8 mins on one then the other for thick steaks, about 5 mins for thinner steaks.

My wife will not eat vension, but she will eat this!!!  *up* *up*
