I just finished up this snakewood/tamarin longbox..probably be the last caller I make using snakewood. Notice there is no snow around the shop.

Lou, Yeah, that was me. That little gobblin just popped up without me see'en him until I was almost finished with the caller....you never know what you going to find when you cut a piece of wood...I think that one had a snakewood lid too

JR..The statement I made about not making anymore snakewood callers has to do with the increase in price of the snakewood. I used to buy first quality for about $260 a bd ft. before shipping. Now the price has almost doubled. and I am having trouble finding the size and grain pattern that I want.
