I have always used a pack to haul my stuff around and am looking to try a vest this year. I am looking to get input of the pros and cons of the different vests on the market. I truly respect all your advice and I know this will be a huge help for me as well as anyone else in my same position.
Thanks, Scott

I have an Ol'Tom vest that I really like. However I went back to using my fanny pack last year. I have used it in the past and I should have stuck with it. It holds everything I need, except for my longbox which I carry in a holster, and is much easier to deal with.
Here's a link for a similar pack like I use. Only difference is that mine doesn't have the separate holder for the shortbox.

I have the Mossy Oak Super Elite. I thinks its a great vest, lots of pockets. I can easily carry everything I need for a days hunt. It does get a little warm in the afternoons.

I've used the SUPER ELITE for years. Nice fit with plenty of room for everything you could possibly want to carry. I got the one with zip off sleeves. Nice option for cold mornings. RkLu I see this asked all the time and the elite seems to get the nod from a lot of hunters.

... the Ol' Tom T&M Strap Vest, the least "vest-like" vest that I've found - I hunt this one 98% of the time ... 8)

... unless it's really cold, then it's the standard Ol' Tom T&M Vest - more of a conventional "full" style vest ...

... "to each his own" really applies to this one - comes down to what you're comfortable with & what you're used to ... ;)

I use a super elite 3

Super Elite 3 here also. I am on my 3rd one now.

Kim bought me this one in 2005, and it's the only one I have... So, guess it's my favorite! It's the Primos Gobbler Vest.

I took a look at the H.S. SUV vest yesterday and it seems like it may just offer what I am looking for. Any reviews on that one?

I changed the link for the fanny pack I was talking about. Seems that the seller made a change to the original. *aah*
Here it is again....

My favorite is the Epeard's Turkey Lounger. Don't think they make it any more. You can set up any where with that thing.

... fwiw --- from just from lookin' at the pic, I like the strap design & the magnet cushion attachment is really quick - at this kinda' price might be tough to beat ... ;)

For 30.00 bucks, plus Shipping, that looks to be a great buy....... RkLu
Just what I need another turkey hunting vest.......4 and holding, no, 5 or is it 6..... *aah*

That looks almost identical to the H.S SUV vest that I just looked at at Walmart. They are $40.00 there. I am giving that one some serious consideration. There is a ton of room in it. It has 1 box call pocket (which I don't even have) and 2 pot call pockets as well as some pretty good sized utility pockets.

I use the tac 2 My wife got it for me for christmas. Lots of pockets and like it because the pouch rolls up and go's in the back so if you are doing alot of walking it's not getting caught on everthing. Only use it to tote one out
