I see a grey area where the rule writer (me) was about as clear as muddy pond water.
Monroe is a winner and will be receiving the calls posted....
But when a guys stomach eats at them and they realize their rules were not that clear to begin with, there is only one way to solve the problem in my opinion.
First admit your mistakes. This was my fault. I wrote the rules in a hurry and my brain works in a weird way. I received a call and when you cannot give a credible argument or prove they are reading the rules wrong, you have a major issue. I see how several of you were playing the contest differently than I had envisioned. I had nothing in the rules that clearly stated I was meaning to play it differently.
After the phone call, I keep looking at the postings and if you looked at it in this light, letinmfly would be a winner.
So here I am. Monroe +- 4 points and letinmfly +-2 points... My grandpa always said admit when you are wrong.. be a man and apologize and never lose a man's trust!
Right now I see only two ways to make this right. First off, Apologize and admit to the whole board my rule writing sucks!!! This falls clearly on my shoulders and not something I really am proud of right now. Secondly, make it right and the only way to do this, is to award both Monroe and letinmfly with prizes :)
Right now I cannot post what letinmfly will receive (Al is without Internet) but it will be just like the ones posted! It will be a glass call and scratch box...
Now Al, Josh and I have agreed, we'd better see some dead birds this Spring *cheers*
To everyone on the site, I apologize and I felt this is the only way to make things right and reward how I feel the rules were read by multiple people.
These rules are for fun and I want everyone to trust me on Osage Roost. When your throat is in your gut, you know you didn't do the right thing.
Now I feel like I did the right thing and rewarded both of these contesters!!! You learn from your mistakes is what I've always been taught and I now know not everyone can decipher what I type (even without Porterisms') not even myself *lol*

Guys, Luckily I got internet today... Well at least for now, so I got the shipping labels printed off. I'll have calls headed to both parties tomorrow.. A big congrats to the winners, and thanks to all who participated!
