Title: White Hen- Update
Post by: shad309 on January 27, 2011, 09:26:39 PM: This gal is on my list for this spring! I saw her last year a few times but she was a good 500 yards away at the closest. She may be a bigger trophy than a strutter for my photos. Although that double beard gobbler my buddy saw on his trailcam will get some of my attention too...

This is the only photo I have of this bird and she had some nice company :o

As far as I know she's a wild bird. I know all the farms around this place and noone has any turkeys. I've see her for at least 2 years and last spring was the closest I've ever been to her after chasing her all spring (those gobblers get me sidetracked....) By looking at her and the fact that she has survived this long I have no doubt she's a wild bird. I sent the pic to Dr Lovett Williams to get his take on it. Will let you know what he says!
