Title: a Eastern Red Cedar and Alaskan Yellow Cedar going out.

Here is one a feller has waited on now.
I was cutting some new yeller cedar some time back and cut the whole lot wrong. I ,with my 49 yr old eyes, picked up the saw marks instead of the grain and cut the lid material AND the bodies totally wrong. Tried the lid on this call anyway and it would play against the grain on one side, but the side that was going with he grain slipped bad, would noy bite at all. Had to get me some more wood and cut it right!!! Lession learned !!!
Anyway, this is a Red cdear and Alaskan Yellow Cedar thats headed out to one of our members. I like the call, had highs and lows , great break and bits like a pit bull !!! Hope it is enjoyed and rolls a bunch of ole longbeards !!!

Another nice one, Jeff.  Hey, don't sweat the mistake with the saw marks and grain direction. Makes you want to pull your hair out, don't it?

That call looks strangely familiar. Like I just sat it on the coffee table just a moment ago!  *lol* *lol* If that call is anything like my sons she is a killer!

I cut 15 board feet of 8" 8/4 totally wrong. That mistake probably cost me 125-150 dinero's !!!
Lession learned the hard way.

Funniest thing is the story of how ole McKamey found out he cut it wrong!!! 

I laughed so hard.  I figured you would be more careful.  That AYC is kind of pricey for the burn pile... especially just to get it and cut it all up wrong!!!  *lol*

Sure is a pretty little thing! Cut it wrong? I would prefer to think that you just cut it different and sometimes different doesn't work. But how else do we learn anything? ;)

The other lids were prototypes. He was just searching for the perfect sound out of this box. He found it. ;D
