Title: A Hen Box
Post by: Dcoleinpa on January 22, 2011, 12:15:35 PM
I got this box earlier this week in the mail. A hen box made from a beautiful piece of Apple wood with an Ebony lid. My good friend Smokey from TN made it for me.Nasty old hen on the left and sweet kee kees on the right. She can say it all and it's gorgeous to boot!

The chalk box fits inside the box so you can wrap it up and cinch it closed for a silent walk to the roosting area  :).

Thanks for making this box for me Smokey. She will be with me on many hunts.

Dave, thanks my friend!!I have used this type of cinch for all of the chalk boxes on every henbox I make.Kinda to set them apart from the rest
If you know what I mean!!But as It is we live in a free country so do as you will Bud.

Smokey, as I said on Old Gobbler in regards to your other post there, I have never had an issue with you, nor has my work been influenced by yours. I suggest if you have an issue with me, pm me or call me rather than snipe at me on a public forum. You are not the inventor of a cinch on a lanyard, plain and simple. I can cite examples of this having been done, Charlie Trotter for one comes to mind. This type of bickering and triviality does little to add to the enjoyment of those perusing this forum.

Nice looking hen box. I really like that chalk box too with the lanyard that cinches the lid down for a quiet walk to the roost.
