Title: BGI powder/shot measures
Post by: charlieparrish on January 17, 2011, 10:21:45 AM
picked these up at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago..didn't look at them until today. ( It is raining cats and dogs and I am stuck in the house) Two shot & powder measures. The chromed one has "B.G.I. CO. PAT.FEB.25,1890" stamped on the bottom; and the brass one has  "BRIDGEPORT G I CO 23CR" stamped in three lines on the side. I thought they were pretty  neat.

BGI had their hands in a lot of things.  In addition to powder measures and turkey calls, they even made golf clubs.  Neat piece of history and a great find..
