Ok so I took all the advise I got and thickened up the bottom, shortened the pedestal, and reduced the distance between the striking surface and the sound board and ended up with a couple of live ones. The one on the left is 3 1/4" cherry aluminum/glass the one on the right is 3 1/4" tiger striped maple blasted glass/glass. They both have a lot of volume but can be nice and soft as well. A couple more like this with a little more fine tuning and I can put more focus on the CA finish. Thanks for all the advise and help.

Thanks for the positive feed back guys. I got a chance to drive down to the Mid West NWTF competition today andI took these to with me to have them critiqued by some guys and they all had really good thinks to say. As a beginer it sure make me feel good to here that coming from guys that have been doing this for a while. It really was good to here someone else playin my call. I came home with a couple of new toys to. I bought a nice little trumpet and a scratch box Neitherof which I have used before. Was a good day. I found out that Dave Constantine only lives about 30 miles from me and have an invitation to come and hang out in the shop after the spring season is over. Of all the hobbies and activities I have ever been involved in call makers havef got to be the most helpful and welcoming group to newcomers that I have ever met. Thanks for feeding my new addiction.
