can't leave home without striker!!!

I have to tell you, I've got some that sound great with certain pot combos but the one I got from Steve (West Augusta) sounds great on everything. I don't think I will be able to leave the house without this one with me at all times.

No disrespect to the other callmakers that have sent strikers with your calls to me but this one is just a bit different if ya know what I mean  *cheers*

So let's see your favorite

I use a bunch of strikers. Because each pot usually prefers a certain striker. My favorite strikers come from Anthony Reynolds. They are made out of Batu wood! Really hard and work well on just about any pot.

I've got a ton of strikers. Lots of ivory tipped ones that sound good and lots of wooden ones that sound good; but, the one I won't leave home without is not a custom striker. It is a Knight and Hale "Black Magic" striker. Good rasp on any call. Plays soft or loud. Just seems to have the right head weight for my playing style.

Here's a few I have been known to carry.

And here's some that will be carried a lot next spring. Steve's strikers will make an average pot call sound really good and a good pot call sound awesome.

As much as I like to use my own stuff,  I never go in the turkey woods without my bird's eye maple Silvers striker.  I have had many Silvers strikers through the years, loved them all but lost all but that one.   I think you can still get some from Midwest.   Best strikers I've ever used!
