Ive just been hunting and trapping lately. Once bow season ends I can just focus on fur and feathers!! Here are a few critters. Bobcat season doesn't open until December so the cats were released as good ole Porter pointed out * hi *.

Maybe I could hire you to come to Arkansas and thin some of our varmint population. You look like you have done this before!!

Daryl I laughed so hard after he released the first one. You should have heard his voice tremble... his typing on the phone was worst than me!!!!
Then next day... he got him again *lol*

Porter,
Are you implying that Dylan is a mighty smart trapper or that we got ourselves one dumb cat to get caught on back-to-back days? *lol* *lol*

Rickey I'm not sure, but I can tell you Dylan pulled that trap after the 2nd day.... *lol* *lol*
I asked him if a Bobcat purrs if you pet him enough... he wouldn't try it for me.... He's young... so I figured he'd heal up real quick if things got out of hand *peep*

Hey Dylan ,,,,,Ohio's Fur Season begins tomorrow . I bet the trappers here are really frustrated due to the drought . There ain't much water in the streams . Most run-off ditches that usually hold lots of mus'rats are dried up . Ponds are way down .
But them da'gum 'yotes are as thick as Washington D.C. liars . I got the 223 out this evening and gave it an inspection for tomorrows hunt . We'll be in farm country with all the grain harvested . Wide open and flat as a pool table with small woodlots and fencerows on the borders . The tenant of the place has been seeing a family pack with consistent regularity . We intend to make their hackles stand high . I mainly hope the old male is among them . I'd like the chance to really p!$$ him off,,,make him let his guard down ,,and get him in close . I want to show him my Cz Rifle at about 25 yards . ;D

Howl that ole dog up!! how is that 223 on the fur??

Perfect ! 40 grain , V-Max in the lungs on a side shot ,,,in the chest on a frontal shot = one tiny hole & no tracking ,,,dead before they hit the ground , right where they stood . Had one go clear through a pup once . A quartering shot . Hit in the chest and exited in front of the hind leg . Still ,, only tiny holes . Can't explain that one . The pup actually covered about 75 yards . I use the Moly-Coated V-Max . There is the possibilty that it was not a v-max ,and the moly hid its true identity ,,, it performed like a full metal jacket.
The Cz 527 rifle weighs less than my Marlin 22 long rifle . Has a single set trigger that is superb ,,,1.5 lb. or 4 lb. trigger pull. Will print 1/2 inch groups @100yards,,,,,,,,,,SWEET!
