Title: My Buddy Scores in IL

My buddy called me this morning all in a panic that he shot a buck and he thought he hit him far back.  I told him to calm down and climb down from the stand before he fell out.  I finally got him settled down and he proceded to look for his arrow and signs of blood.  He finally called me back after an hour and a half to tell me that he found the deer.
He couldn't find any blood nor his arrow.  He proceded to do a full search of the area and finally found his buck in a ditch which was filled with water.  He's a nice 11 pointer and I couldn't be happier for him.  Just wish I could have made the trip this year with him.  He shot the deer from my stand which makes me feel a part of being there with him.

Congrats to your buddy Lou!!!  Do you think it is the same buck that you posted a picture of a few weeks ago?

My buddy rough scored it at 144 1/4" gross.  Figures it'll score in the low 130's after deductions.

Lou,

Congrats to your buddy on the great bow kill!! That does look like the one you posted running across the growed up field, but it may have been even bigger.

Here's the pic of the big one running through the field.  My buddy thinks he had this buck at 10 yards this morning but it was too dark to make out the body for a clean shot.  He could barely make out a big rack though.

this one looks like it has a bit more mass than the one your buddy stuck this morning

The one my buddy got has a 15" inside spread and a bone white rack.  This big boy is at least 22" wide and has a chocolate colored rack.  This guy is a 190" class buck and my buddy's is rough scored at 144".  Either way they're both nice bucks to shoot!!  *cheers*
