Title: No news from the Dr
Post by: shad309 on October 25, 2010, 07:08:02 PM
Well fellas, I'm about to give up on these Dr's. They've already taken more money from me than I can afford to "throw away".  I'm tired of the needles, tests, & exploratory crap. I think I'm going to just live with it and be done. I'm ready to leave it in HIS hands.

I appreciate all the thoughts & prayers yall have sent me. If nothing else it makes me feel better knowing that all these good people are on my side. I'm not going anywhere and am not letting this keep me from getting in the woods and doing the things I love.

Shad, It took over 7 years and 29 Doctors before I found Dr. Wolfenden at Emory! Thank God I did. She not only diagnosed my condition but was able treat me so I could extend my life a few more years. I am 4 years and counting outliving the other "Doctors" projections. She was a Godsend! That is partially why I was so upset at her passing. Keep searching. Good Doctors are hard to find!
I will continue to pray for you!!
Mike

Shad I feel for you and having a wife that has many medical issues, I understand what you are saying.  Don't give up hope and I pray they figure out what is wrong with you.

I can only imagine your frustration...

Thanks fellas!

Just thought I would let you know- all the Dr's agree that this is not life threatening. I plan on living for many, many more years  ;D

I talked it over with my wife and we are going to start looking in other areas for my answers than just the Dr's. I'm going to look into eastern medicine, naturalistics, & native. I've also started a journal that I'm going to document foods, pain, etc... for a long period of time so that I can give a complete picture to the next Dr.

I'm not giving up on life or my family, I love both too much  :grouphug:

God works in strange and wonderous ways! I shouldn't be here either...but thanks to nurse who was looking at a CT scan w/ my Dr....I am. Hang in there! When I get down a good dose of the outdoors is my best medicine.
