I am from NC and have known this for a while. Cut overs are deer magnets. But, it is still sad to see beautiful old stands of trees being cut down and replanted with just pine.  Roc

Hunted 300,000 acres of International Paper Company land in Baldwin County Alabama just outside Mobile for many years. This article is spot on. Killed some nice dear on cut over.
