Adam came by this morning and asked me if I felt up to riding over to some land he and some others leased for deer and turkey hunting. Have not been in the woods in 7 years. It was a beautiful day so I filled up my portable Oxygen and rode with him. I grabbed a long box! *dance* I couldn't do anything but look but it felt good. We rode around and I made a few kee runs and gobbler yelps and got two to respond! WOW was that awesome. You don't know how much you miss it till it's gone. On the way out stopped and talked to the farmer whose land boarders the property and he said that it used to be full of turkey. They select cut some of the land 2 years ago and the loggers found fishing line with hooks and corn. Nothing lower than that! Gonna talk with Game Wardens and see about getting help. But it's Alabama and that Warden has three counties to cover. Anyway a great day just to see and smell the woods. And hear a turkey to boot!
Then my beloved Tide lost! *cry* *cry*
Wish I could catch those poachers! (if I were healthy) They wouldn't do it again............

That was a good day Mike at least you know you didn't loose your touch with the long box too bad about the Tide but they will be ok.

Happy to hear ya got out in mother nature....like the ole pollock said----nothing like the great outdoors for a soul clensing tonic. I am so glad and I hope ya get to return there this spring bulldog !

Mike, glad to hear you had a good time. It is soul cleansing to get out like that. It's hard on an outdoorsman to be cooped up. Hope you have more enjoyable days ahead like this one.
