Title: here is a new wood for me---Alder with Amara wood lid and base
Post by: jmck on October 07, 2010, 12:19:40 PM: A friend called me a while back and had some Alder left over from a custom table he made. He said it was some nice wood and asked if I would like to see if there was any I could use. I took a look at it and decided I wanted it.
Its Alder with some nice straight grain...so I decided on a walnut and a amara one to try with it. I totalled the walnut call and this is the one that made a call.
Its got Amara lid,base and inlays. The color of the Alder looks good with the Amara,,,,and it sounds great !!!! Older hen on the right and younger raspier hen on the left. Great purrs,clucks and rolls over real good !!!

I took lead from the AMERA KING on this one-----ya know Bullock !! *peep* *lol*

Ole Bullock is going to be sad I have discovered how good this stuff really is.........hahahahaha....
