The seller will be able to enjoy it for a long time at the price he is offering it for.

There was a time not that long ago that this call would have fetched nearly double that asking price...

 Those were the days..... *wha*

He actually had it listed on Preston's site for $1700.00 and at the same time on eBay for $2000.00. The price isn't all that bad...now...for one of Neil's early calls.

I guess you could compare something like this to Picaso, or antique cars, but holy  *poo*..... I would end up in a landfill or wearing concrete shoes if I spent that much on a turkey call. The wife would skin me  ;D

Thanks Bill for a little history, I don't think that price is unreasonable at all given the historical significance. I have seen other calls go for much higher prices. It would surprise many of you to see what some antique  decoys go for! A black bellied plover went for $830,000,,,
Here is another one I noticed, I also noticed the seller mispelled the address,,, ???  http://cgi.ebay.com/Neil-Cost-Turkey-Call-And-The-Last-Hurrah_W0QQitemZ150501119721QQcategoryZ36255QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m8QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DMW%26its%3DC%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5196923201248075097

This is another great call. It appears to be the one inch check pattern, which is a rare pattern. The 3/4 inch check is what Neil settled on.
