I was talking with my oldest son Scott on Skype and he heard a trumpet in the background and Scott asked "is that Adam playing the trumpet?", I said no it's Mason!, (Adam's 3 year old son!), Scott said "he sounds better than Adam!" ROTFLMBO Mason and I were playing around with one a few days ago and he asked what it was and I told him. he took it started blowing on it, I told him to act like he is drinking through a straw and showed him, he took it back and started making good turkey sounds. He doesn't know one from another but he can get um all but a gobble. Hadn't got a clue what he is doing but is doing it well, albeit random sounds!

Sounds like you've got this thread properly named. I've seen many a grown folks that never master them. Good for you starting him off at an early age. We need more like him.

One of my grand-daughters and her little brother both started playing a wingbone at 2 years old. I could not believe how quickly they caught on. I've always said that I could teach someone in half the time that had never tried them before. Sometimes bad habits are hard to break.
Once at a show in Tenn., a vendor next to me had a young son, I'd guess about 4-5 years old. He asked about the wingbones and how to play them so we sat down and in no time he was playing it pretty doggone good. Every time someone would ask about how hard they were to play, I'd call the little guy over, stand him up in a chair and let him go at it. When they heard that I'd just taught him, they bought one. I sold ever wingbone I had that weekend except for the one I gave the little guy.
