Title: Prayers needed for Dick Kirby

 I was talking to Steve Mann tonite and he passed on some really bad news. He said that after Dick's recent back surgery , he had a bad reaction to some medication and it shut down his respiratory system which caused loss of blood to his brain. He is still in a coma and is expected to have mild to serious brain damage if he recovers. I don't know if there has been any improvement, as I haven't gotten word back from Dick's family this week.
 DicK Kirby has helped me alot with building my calls . He has been my mentor since I first started putting calls in competition. I don't think my calls would be where they are without his help.  Dick has accomplished many things as a callmaker, businessman, and hunter. And he has helped other callmakers in many ways. Please pray for his recovery and his family's welfare. Thanks !

I'll send my prayers for Dick.
He is a fine man.
Every year in our area we hold a Youth Archery camp that is free for 30 kids, it's staffed by all volunteers.
Every year Dick puts on a game calling seminar.
This year he mentioned the back pain but still ran the seminar and the kids loved every minute of it and in the end Dick gave each kid a call.
He then took time to give each kid a little bit of personal instruction.
When he went home that night, it was to a chorus of 30 kids running box calls, slate calls, blowing crow calls and owl hooters,
It was a Zoo!
I hope it put a smile on his face

If you go to the prayer board on CCO Pat Strawser posted a E-mail from Chris Kirby that tells what happened.
