Title: Nibsburner wood burner?

Has anybody had any dealings with this burner? Thanks, Gary

I have no experience with this brand, however, I do have experience with the Burnmaster and it is an excellent burner.  The Burnmaster will generate 130 watts of power and a lot of heat if you need it or very little if you're wanting to create very fine detail.  It has a better warranty than most other burners also.  I recently took a class from a well known woodturner and woodburning artist.  She highly recommended the Burnmaster.  It is sold by Woodcarving Supply and Packard Woodworks.

The Burnmaster is what I use for my Santa Fe series trumpet yelpers.

Mike,

I got the Hawk model. Only difference between the two models is that on the Eagle you can plug in two handpieces, but you can only heat one  at a time.  Burnmaster also has a new pen that accepts replaceable tips from the four major makers.  The good thing about the pen with the replaceable tips is that the tips are connected by screws that make a tight electrical connection.  Burnmaster has a three year warranty.

Looks to me like the nibsburner is rather pricey for what you get.  It may be worth it.  I haven't had any experience with it and don't know anyone else who has.

But when a person who is a full time artist in woodburning recommends a particular brand, I sit up and take notice.

Mr. Danny ,Thanks for your  advice! I think I am going with experience and wisdom and get the Burnmaster.  With the nibs you even have to  buy different cables to cover their power range. Thanks again for your time and advice, Gary

I really like mine.  I got mine before they had the pen with the replaceable tips.  I'm probably going to get one of those soon.
