Not arguing that what she did wasnt right, but still amazed that 40 years later people are still worked up about it. As a society American's seem quick to forgive, but not in this case.
I think its funny that she's remembered as an anti-American among Muhammad Ali, Neil Armstrong, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King who were all outspoken opponents to the Vietnam War. Somehow history has managed to overlook some...

it's wasn't just about her being outspoken about the war.

Yea Chad, but they didn't visit and collaberate with the enemy :-[
I've got two words for Jane.....They are NOT Merry Christmas.....

Chad
Being out spoken is one thing...but actually sitting on a anti-aircraft battery..in N. Vietnam for their propaganda machince.....none of the other out spoken war critics ever came close to that stunt! I met Ms. Fonda when she was married to Ted Turner, at Vermejo Park Ranch (one of Teds' many ranches) and had dinner w/ them. She came across as a nice person, but none of the employees of the ranch had any respect for her.....and neither do I.

Like I said, it was ahead of my time. I've got no personal connection to her or the war, but I did meet her when I lived in Atlanta and she and Ted Turner were still an item. I simply find it very interesting how polarizing she remains...
-
I see what your saying Chad,
This was not in my era either......But when it comes down to it, she did some polarizing *poo* back then......somethings that should never die as generations come and go.....And my opinion, it should be in our children's history books after she's dead and gone.....She was a traitor, still a traitor and will die a traitor.
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR TROOPS ! USA

Bill is dead right-----the propaganda she was voluntarially involved is beyond belief. I went to school with his son here in chattanooga and knew them also, but I will never have any respect for her and the things she did against our troops----she has never appologized.
