Not real sure how we've made it, but today is the one year anniversary of ole Osage Roost!!!
I still remember Daryl and Al twisting my arm telling me I could do it. I knew I had the technical knowledge too, but wasn't sure if I had the people skills to do it. I know I've made wrong choices in the past and I'm sure I'll make some wrong choices down the road. I've tried to be fair and listen to everyone. I'm only human and try the best I can!
I've established a bunch of new friends and for that very reason, everything has been worth it! I never stated I wanted this site to be big, but it's grown and I've been very very happy. I sat out to establish a site that required no advertising, was built for the call makers, and you had to have fun!!! Hopefully this has been a success in those areas.
I'd like to thank each and every member on this site. Without your contributions, this would be nothing more than an old ghost town. I know I've caused a many of call makers to pull their hairs out. As Chad once posted, leave it to Porter to come up with a combo that will definitely hurt the eyes *lol*
Here's to the call makers for showing off your beautiful work *cheers* and here's to the collectors/hunters that show off your purchases *cheers* and here's to everyone for their daily posts, hunting stories, questions, and anything else I've missed *cheers*
Deep down, I do appreciate each and every one of the members. We've had ups and downs, but I think we've risen to the challenges and gotten stronger!
Here's to another year and once again... THANK you to everyone on board!!! It's been a heck of a ride so far!!!!

Thank you Porter for setting up a forum where people can have discussions with out getting ripped to pieces. I haven't been here that long, but this is by far the best yet. I really enjoy looking at all of the calls the callmakers post. I have met some wonderful people on this site. It is one where you don't worry about posting a comment or an idea. No fusssing or arguing, those threads don't stay around very long.
Keep up the good work!!!

Great site Porter..I have enjoyed meeting others on this site and enjoy seeing all the beautiful callers being posted here along with all the other topics on hunting,fishing,collecting, history, etc. You have done a great job. Remember, "Don't let the Bas....... wear you down"

Ol buddy, you have done great with the site. I appreciate what you do behind the scenes that no one knows about...staying up late with the site, trying to keep hackers out, listening to all kinds of things, etc., etc.... Thanks buddy. (I am sure you have made a few mad for creating this site also) ;D
I have also made some great friends on this site. Once more, you do a great job. Keep at it buddy.

Mike---I want to thank you as all the others have on the site for us and moreover for all the behind the scenes work you pour into this forum.
There is no doubt you do it out of a love for the sport. The issues you have to mediate are things that most of us totally overlook. Not only do you spend endless hours seeing its working right, but the issues that arrise you have to handle....well, lets just say---I wouldnt want to be in the firing line !!!
Cudo's to you man, it wouldnt be the same without your endless effort.
Happy Anniversery to the Roost...its a great place to "spend the night" !!!!

I really enjoy this site and all the good people here. It's something I truly look forward to everyday.

Oh my buddy... I almost forgot about that... I remember calling you the first time and saying... thanks for getting me into some hot water :) I still have that first PM saved from that forums moderator. I laugh even more now than the first time I read it. They sure didn't like it when I pointed out what the First Amendment guaranteed.. maybe that got me in more hot water than you ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO
