Title: Hit and miss
Post by: JLCcalls on August 15, 2010, 04:15:52 PM
Messing around yesterday with a trumpet.  My hat's off to you guys that make these things.  This one is ash and cherry with aluminum and plastic on the mouthpiece.   This doesn't have any finish on it, I wanted to see how it sounded first.  I think I'll finish it cause it sounds great!  I could call in coyotes, cats, cows, mules, purdy much anything would come to this call before a turkey!

This stubby little holly tube call came out good.  It is the most gobbler sounding tube I've ever made.  Very raspy and deep.  This one will make a killer locator.

Never know unless you try...  Tube caller looks great and hopefully you'll pick up on the trumpets too!
