This caller is made from a nice piece of walnut obtained from around Hohenwald, Tenn. My contact there is an old friend who is now in his eighties..don't know if I will be getting anymore from him as he has shut down his operation in Lewis County. good wood. the single sided scratchbox and chalkbox are of the same log. the stopper on the chalkbox is hickory with buffalo horn cap. The lid on the box is macassar ebony. the striker for the scratcher is made of red cedar.
