I know I owe many many of you phone calls, but work has been kicking my rear. Today I ended up getting a massive migraine and I'm just sitting in the dork typing...
Our lovely back hoe operator has "located" our fiber 3 different times.. we spliced it and then boom he hit it the next morning... then today... well he hit it again...
I despise working outside in the heat :(
That's why I haven't been online much. I'll catch up very soon.. I promise!

Yeah probably so :) Yesterday was like a migraine hangover... it was terrible. Drove 3 hours right into the sun and my eyes were so sensitive.
Never fear, Porter is back... bound to type something stupid... say something stupid... and definitely do something stupid!!! *lol*
I'm just glad you guys are not around me daily to see the dumb stuff!

Well Porter, it could be worse, and I'm glad you weren't around watching me yesterday. First blow in the morning with my hammer woke up a million sleeping yellow jackets, they weren't very happy and neither was anyone else standing there. Miraculously, I was the only one that didn't get stung repeatedly. A couple cans of Hot Shot quickly resolved that problem, until another nest of wasps was discovered, they were a pain as well. We managed to complete the ripout and began putting new timbers back. An errant nail (spike)hit my leg like a 22 cal shot, almost took me off the ladder I was working on. Pete laughed and said, "If you're not bleeding, you're not working!" I didn't think it was funny seeing as it was my leg that had been shot and not his.
Just before lunch, we had a 30' LVL to install to support the roof structure. As I went to push it up the last 6 inches to go into the pocket, my ladder collapsed. I fell probably a good eight feet butt first, in the proccess further injuring my lumbar and spraining my right wrist, knuckles, finger tips, etc, basically all banged up. Everything that didn't hurt before we started now does. Fortunately the LVL didn't land on top of me or it could have been fatal.
The good thing was we completed our work, got all three of them (LVL"s in place, sheathed it in and we got paid and given the next day off, which is good because I've heard Friday the 13th can be unlucky. ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO
Pete says, well Dave, you can have an extra day to work on turkey calls. I said, "Thanks Pete, I am getting a little behind, so it will be good to get in the shop". When I woke up this morning, after the pain I was in kept waking me up during the night, I knew I wouldn't be doing much in the shop. My wrist is too swollen and it is impossible to make a fist, and Advil just isn't working at all to resolve the back pain.
