I got a piece of wood that has me befuddled. It is so similiar to mahogony that it wouldnt surprise me to find out it is indeed mahogony. BUT!!!!!! There is a lot of heavy grain in it, doesnt smell like mahogony, is a lot darker, and it just doesnt FEEL like any mahogony I have ever worked with.

I think even with your nose broken that many times, you'd still be able to smell the strong odor of spanish cedar! *lol* *lol* That stuff will clear you sinuses!!

I will try to get a picture of the end grain later. Leaning towards santos mahogoy. I have sapele and honduran mahogony in the shop right now, definitely not either of those. But I am 99% certain it is a mahogony
