Title: The Final Frontiersman
Post by: Dcoleinpa on July 29, 2010, 03:36:00 AM
I have been reading a book recently called The Final Frontiersman. The book is about Heimo and Edna Korth who live 150 miles above the arctic circle in Alaska. I am really enjoying this book.

Here is a video with them that tells some of their story. (the video is 52 minutes, just to let ya know before hand)

Enjoy....... I know I am  :)

I have a good friend who has been subsistence living in Alaska since the early 90's   Hunts, fishes and raises a garden in the summer...occasionally takes a job on a salmon boat when times get too tough.....I don't think my arthritis could take that much cold...but I seriously  thought about it forty years ago *wha*
