I made this applewood Turpin style caller earlier this year.. originally with a maple lid..all seemed to be going OK for a while until it somehow got really out of tune...I usually just throw them away when that happens..but I kinda had an attachment to this one so I took some time and TLC ...along with a new ebony lid and she has recovered from her malady
and is again in the business of bringing turkeys to the fryer.

Charlie,
            Can you get some better pictures of it from all around? I would like to see the call in better light. It still looks pretty good from the picture though.

Gary... I agree with you, I would like to see better pictures too...Photography is certainly not one of my few talents..I would try to get some other views of this caller but I have already boxed it for mailing ...thanks for the input..I will make a serious effort improve future pictures. *cheers*

Nice call Charlie! I like that combo, apple and ebony seem to work well together RkLu

Well the repaired caller showed up today and have to say, man oh man Charlie...  you sure did fix her up  *up*  I really like the ebony sitting on top of it!

I know several people have asked for some closer photos of this caller, so hopefully this one looks ok.

Charlie, Take the photo's outside early in the morning or in the evening before the sun goes down. Apple and ebony is a great combo. Glad you got her back to life. Thanks for sharing, Mike
