I received the two trumpets for Scott and Adam from Dave made from Texas Ebony. When he said the picture didn't do them justice man that was an understatement!! These are spectacular and the sound is awesome and effortless. Been around wood all my life, don't know I have seen a more beautiful finished wood. These are as good as it gets! Dave I hope you are as pleased with the swap as I am! Folks Dave is building a great trumpet! And that Texas Ebony is something to behold!
I am using Dave's Picture till Scott gets back from Vacation and can take some hopefully good photos's Thanks Dave!!

I agree too!  Love mine and the craftsmanship is amazing!

Scott and Adam should be pleased with those 2 Texas Ebony trumpets from Dave Hodgkins. That's some great looking wood and Mr. Hodgkins is making some very nice trumpets these days. Congrats to everyone!

 *up*  Got my texas ebony  from Dave the other day. Stunned Is a good way to put it. Sounds sweet  already, I only hope i can get better playing it.  Thinking about box call from Dave now.
