Seeing some beautiful laminate pot calls getting posted, just thought of this thread.  We all know everyone starts out the same way building calls... you have to build call #1 to get to where you are today.

Now I've seen some guys first calls and let's say they are funny to look at where they have been and where they are now.

Let's have some Osage Roost fun and post some of your early calls.  We (even you) might get a chuckle over them!!  I see all this beautiful work and I'd like to see how far you have come with your talent!

Those sure dont look laughable! Pretty good for your first, you musta been taught well (or taught yourself well! )

Geez Daryl and I thought you played loud with your current design.. Must have busted an ear drum or two with that hole pattern ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO

I have to admit, hadn't seen a lot of those pics!!

Thanks Dylan.  *up*  I made my first two in 05 and my third one in 06. I made my first one for someone else in Jan 08. A lot of trial and error trying to come up with something original from the beginning, but all has been pretty much self taught. There is a ton of info on making calls avaiable now that just was not there a year and a half ago. Here is another style I used to make.  I made a few of these for the guys at work!!
