Title: Food Dehydrator as a kiln?
Post by: Gitzit69 on May 17, 2010, 02:27:17 PM
I was talking to a friend and telling him I wish I had a Kiln to dry my wood in. He asked me, "can you use a food dehydrator?" Sounds possible to me, any of you wood workers tried it or heard if it would work?

Dave, I use it for pot blanks sometimes and works great, Adam laughs at me. He came in the other day and said, I wondered how long it would take you. Have Not lost one single blank. Dropped some from around 18 % to 9%. Ran it 3 days for about 10 hours a day.
