the home state begins in the morning. Have the vest all packed, shotgun cleaned and ready to NOT MISS this time :)
Going to be different going from chasing the runningest Rios I've ever seen to some good ole deep gobbling big boy Easterns! Weather should be beautiful and hoping to have a very successful hunt. Not sure how I'm going to survive without Daryl blasting my ears, but I still think he's the reason for all my bad luck :)
2 weeks straight of hunting MO and then back to real life :(

Wow what a day in the woods. I'd say it was a bad day, but to me any day in the woods is a good day. Not a peep around. I've talked to several friends in this area and same thing in the area. It was beautiful weather, so who knows. Kind of hard to come back from Kansas with the birds blasting their heads off and this happens.
Luckily I have 2 more weeks to go after them. May make a trip to the good honey hole sooner than I thought :)
But I will say this, I'm not making fun of anyone missing again. I did it to Daryl then I missed, my neighbor gave me crap last night and guess what... he missed this morning. I laughed so hard, but didn't say a bad thing. He went about 3 hours North of us and he was in birds that were sounding off. Should have went with him :P
Oh and I overslept and my hunting partner had to call the house to wake me up. Got out about 30 minutes later than I wanted and I grabbed my vest and forgot to pack any calls in it. I had two pots in my clothing, but that was it :(

Keep your chin up, it will come together for you.
I went two Spring seasons without filling a tag. It was an awful feeling and I really beat myself up about it. A change of attitude plus a change of scenery and I was right back in the swing of things.

I missed the first one I shot at this year, missed judged the distance a little. But it turned out to be a fine year so far. Keep after them.
