Here are some pictures of a couple of callers I have been working on...this is a matched set of Turpin style callers made from maple with ebony lids. Not finished yet (no finish applied to the boxes and the matching scratchbox is not complete). When the finish is applied the grain and color will really pop.

Charlie, Both of those Calls look great! Hope they are ready to try out whenI come over there next week! Is there any dry ground in the swamp?

Tim, Bring mask and flippers along with speargun...no dry ground in the swamp this season....all the turkeys I've seen look like they have web feet.

Probably gonna put a hand rubbed oil finish on them...either that or acrylic..right now I'm leaning toward the oil...how many coats depends on what the previous one looks like when it dries.
