Since I'm sort of introducing myself, here are a couple from past work periods.

A sort of matched set of scratch boxes made for 2 brothers.  Both in cherry presentation boxes. One is Cherry Burl and Curly Maple with Walnut and Ebony - a Cherry Burl striker with Ebony and Turqoise accents.  The actual striker surface you can't see is OSAGE I heard someone here likes that stuff! The other is a Cherry Burl with Walnut and Paduak. Striker is Cherry Burl, Paduak, Elk Antler and Turqoise.

Next is the lightening call. Wild Cherry that was felled by a lightening strike. Walnut lid with Holly inlayed lightening strike. Butternut and birdeyse accents on the lid as well. Sitting on a very nicely figured Walnut base.

Yes indeed - I can't imagine the two brothers not being extremely pleased with those two very fine scratchers, to say the least - what a pair of "one-of-a-kind" beauties ... :o :o
... yet another super clean box with another fantastic lid - your lid accents & wood choices are outstanding, & the holly lightnin' strike is just smokin' for sure - fine, fine lookin' box caller right there ... 8) 8)

Those brothers are gonna be elated! That lightning strike is awesome! I love that box! Great work!
