Title: Some longboxes from Nashville!!
Post by: Frozen Crow on February 23, 2010, 08:52:56 PM: I picked up these two long boxes in Nashville. Both are super sweet!! The first one is from a trade with Bob Fulcher (Shadetree Calls). This is a dandy box that will reach out and knock some birds off the roost or play nice quiet purrs and yelps. I nave been playing it nonstop since I got it! Thanks for the awesome trade Bob!! I got the lion's share here!! Cedar over butternut.

The second one is from Mr. Marlin Watkins. Have been hearing good things about his calls and as soon as I picked one up I knew they were all true!! This has exactly the sound I like, nice clear first note and rasp for days on the backend. I have a feeling I will be buying more calls from Marlin!! Padauk over Limba.

I also was fortunate enough to win Blackfalcon's longbox entry from the call auction. I thought it was one of the best long boxes on the table!! I will post up some pictures once I receive it as I was not there to pick it up on Sunday!! Great Job Dave!!

I had a great time hanging out with you and I have to say that it was me who got the best end of the deal. I got a screaming Frozen Crow boxcall from Lee that has a lot of work to do this spring. I will post pics. soon. The best part of it is, I made some great new friendships in Nashville. I almost wish that it was time for next years show just so I can meet up with everybody again.
